Tenants provide their mobile phone number and consent to receive property-management text messages when signing their lease agreement with their property manager. Consent language in the lease reads substantially as follows:
“Tenant agrees that Management may contact Tenant at the mobile number provided regarding this tenancy, including lease questions, rent reminders, and maintenance coordination, via SMS text message. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Tenant may opt out at any time by replying STOP.”
